Like many in the club this was my first experience of the Harrier League. A great family atmosphere, lots of support (and cake) and a not inconsiderable quantity of mud. What's not to like?

The route was shortened to 6.2 miles because of flooding on the riverside paths. A tough, scenic, rewarding race.

This year I ran the Great North Run in aid of Shelter. For the first time I carried a camera during a race and had a great time snapping away in the sunshine.
